Join Us in the Fight Against Kidney Disease!
The Circle of CORE is an outreach and advocacy group of living kidney donors and recipients who were inspired post-transplant to give back to the community that supported them through their journeys, to educate the public about kidney disease, and to fundraise for the program that shares in their vision, UCLA CORE Kidney Program.
Under the leadership of our Clinical Chief, Dr. Anjay Rastogi, UCLA CORE Kidney Program has made great strides in advancing the care of our patients and their families by implementing our CORE Values. Our mission is to improve healthcare delivery to patients with kidney disease, hypertension, and diabetes by implementing our CORE values of Clinical Excellence, Outreach, Research, and Education. We aim to spread awareness and provide resources for all patients, healthcare providers, and the general public. Our focus is on integrative medicine, with emphasis on prevention and education, so patients can become their own best advocates! Fighting to eradicate disease continues
We are advancing our current understanding of various disease states through research in both the basic, clinical and translational sciences. We have multiple ongoing trials that address dialysis, diabetes, anemia, Fabry’s Disease, PKD, and hypertension.
Free quarterly events such as UCLA Kidney Education Enhancement Program (UKEEP) are hosted for patients and their family and friends to learn about kidney disease holistically.
The goal of these education and outreach programs is to make patients and their loved ones a part of the decision making team. The ultimate goal is to set up a Kidney Center at UCLA under the leadership and the Founder of the CORE Kidney Program, Dr. Anjay Rastogi, where we can provide comprehensive care to kidney patients and their entire families, starting from pre-diagnosis to transplant. The Kidney Center will embody all of the values that the CORE Kidney Program stands for and the mission of UCLA Health: healing humankind one patient at a time.
We invite to be an integral part of this exciting progress.
